چکیده

A new electron capture detector (ECD) for the Agilent 6890 Series gas chromatograph (GC) allows very sensitive detection of nitroaromatic compounds at low picogram levels with a linear response over three orders of magnitude. Analysis of Nitroaromatics and Nitro-Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons by Capillary Gas Chromatography with the Agilent 6890 Micro-ECD This application note describes the performance of the new 6890 Series Micro-ECD when analyzing two types of nitro-aromatic compounds—explosives and nitrated polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (nitro-PAHs).

Determination of Nitro-Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons in Air Particulates Using the Agilent 7000A Triple Quadrupole GC/MS System

The analysis of nitro-polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (nitro-PAHs) in air particulates was performed by capillary GC in combination with the Agilent 7000A Triple Quadrupole GC/MS system (G7010AA) operated in multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) mode. While classical methods for the analysis of nitro-PAHs are based on GC/MS analysis by a single quadrupole in the selected ion monitoring (SIM) mode...

Simultaneous Determination of 13 Priority Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons in Tehran’s Tap Water and Water for Injection Samples Using Dispersive Liquid-Liquid Micro Extraction Method and Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry

Abstract Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are classified as persistent and carcinogenic organic pollutants. PAHs contamination has been reported in water. Many of relevant regulatory bodies such as EU and EPA have regulated the limit levels for PAHs in drinking water. In this study, 13 priority polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) were determined in tap water samples of Tehran and wat...

Purge and Trap GC-MS Determination of Trace Volatile Compounds in Drinking Water Using the HP 5973 Series MSD and Volatiles Interface (5965-8105E)

A system of purge and trap (P&T), gas chromatography (GC), and mass spectrometry (MS) was used to determine 84 volatile organic compounds at the ppt (parts per trillion) level targeted by EPA method 524.2. This was accomplished without the use of cryofocusing. The optimized system consisted of an HP 7695 P&T concentrator and autosampler; an HP 6890 Series GC with a volatiles interface (VI); a w...

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in air from industrial areas in Lagos and Ogun states, Nigeria

There is currently scarce information on the occurrence and distributions of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) in the air from industrial estates in Nigeria. Hence, the present study aims to evaluate the extent and sources of pollution of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in the air from some industrial estates in Lagos and Ogun States, Nigeria. Ten air samples have been collected from the...
